Resume template

The Compact ATS resume template.

Compact ATS is built around one goal: surviving the resume parser on the other end of the application form. It's a strict single column, tighter line spacing than Clean, no icons or graphical elements, and a heading structure that maps cleanly onto the fields most corporate ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS) expect to extract.

Best for

  • Anyone applying through large companies' online application portals
  • Engineers, analysts, and operations roles where information density matters more than visual flourish
  • Applicants who've had resumes silently rejected by parsers before and want the safest possible format

ATS compatibility

This is the template to pick if ATS compatibility is your top priority. It intentionally trades visual flair for parsing reliability.

No parsing traps

No tables, text boxes, multi-column layouts, or embedded graphics — the elements most likely to scramble an ATS's text extraction.

Tight, information-dense spacing

Fits more experience on one page than any other template here, for candidates with a long history to cover.

Predictable section headings

Standard section names (Experience, Education, Skills) in a standard order, exactly what most parsers are trained to expect.

Other templates

Clean

Single column, generous whitespace.

Two-column

Sidebar for contact, skills & education.

Timeline

Vertical timeline for experience.

Bold header

Polarity-flipped ink header band.
