This Privacy Policy explains what happens — and, more importantly, what doesn't happen — to your information when you use MyResumeVault ("the Service"). We've tried to write it in plain language, because a privacy policy nobody can understand isn't much of a policy at all.
The resume you build using this Service is processed entirely within your own browser. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to the content of your resume. There is no account to create, so we do not collect your name, email address, or any registration information through the Service itself.
If you enable the "Save my progress in this browser" option, your resume data is written to your browser's local storage — a storage mechanism built into your browser that keeps data on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can disable this at any time, which immediately clears the locally saved copy, and clearing your browser's site data will remove it as well.
The Service does not use cookies to operate its core functionality. Your light/dark theme preference is also stored using your browser's local storage, not cookies.
We may display advertising or use analytics services to help support this free Service, including services such as Google Ads, Google AdSense, or Google Analytics. If enabled, these third-party services may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads or measure traffic, in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any such services if and when they are enabled.
When you export your resume as a PDF or JSON file, that file is generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device. We have no visibility into, or copy of, any file you export.
This Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
