Resume example

Product Manager resume example.

Product manager resumes get judged on outcomes, not activity — a strong PM resume proves you moved a metric, not that you attended a lot of meetings or shipped a lot of features. This example follows a PM with about six years of experience across two companies, with every bullet tied to a business result.

What reviewers look for

  • Metrics tied to business outcomes: retention, revenue, activation, engagement — not just "shipped feature X"
  • Evidence of cross-functional leadership — working with eng, design, and data without direct authority over any of them
  • A clear point of view on prioritization: what you chose not to build, and why, is as telling as what you shipped
  • Any experience running experiments or making decisions with incomplete data, which is most of the job

Lead with the metric, not the feature

"Lifted activation 18% by redesigning onboarding" tells a hiring manager what mattered; "shipped a new onboarding flow" doesn't.

Show cross-functional influence

PMs don't have direct authority over engineering or design — bullets that show you aligned both without it are a strong signal.

Mention what you didn't build

A line about deprioritizing a popular but low-impact request shows judgment, which is much of what senior PM roles are hired for.
